1. What this privacy policy covers

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and your data privacy rights.

This privacy policy describes how we collect, use and share your personal data, whether we are in the process of helping you find your next job, helping you find freelancers, providing you with a service, receiving a service from you, or you are visiting our website.

It also describes your legal rights if you have concerns about how we collect and process your personal data. We reserve the right to change this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be accessible on the Freelance-Finder website.

2. Who is Freelance-Finder?

The data controller of your personal data is Freelance Holdings Limited who trades as Freelance-Finder with a registered office at Unit E1 Frieslawn Farm Centre, Hodsoll Street, Sevenoaks TN15 7LH.

3. Why Freelance-Finder collects personal data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (the “GDPR”), our bases for collecting Personal Data are as follows:

Legitimate Interests
Freelance-Finder helps construction industry tradesman and professional freelancers seeking employment (“Freelancers”) and for companies seeking construction labour (“Finders;Employers”).

If you are a Freelancer and have signed up for Freelance-Finder, applied for a job posted online or advertised, or otherwise contacted us, we feel it’s reasonable to expect that you are happy for us to collect and use personal information about you to help you find work, and to help Finders;Employers hire the best Freelancers for their jobs. We need to do these things so that we can function as a profit-making business, and to help you and other Freelancers get jobs.

If you are a Finder;Employer, we store your personal data and the personal data of individual contacts at your organisation. We think this is reasonable – we deem these uses of your data to be necessary for our legitimate interests as a provider of construction labour and other business services to you.

Consent
If you are a Freelancer, we may use your personal data to offer you additional products and services related to job search or your jobs. When we do, we can rely on soft opt-in consent as long as you do not opt-out of these communications.

Establishing, Exercising or Defending Legal Claims
Sometimes it may be necessary for us to process personal data in connection with exercising or defending legal claims. Article 9(2)(f) of the GDPR allows this where the processing “is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or whenever courts are acting in their judicial capacity”.

This may arise for example where we need to take legal advice in relation to legal proceedings or are required by law to preserve or disclose certain information as part of the legal process.
